LCD TV Recycling.
As popularity in Flat Screen TV’s has increased over the last 10 years, the number of these products being discarded has risen dramatically and until now there has been no suitable treatment process for them. Many of the displays, particularly those described as ‘LCD’ TV’s, contain mercury inside the tiny lamps used to illuminate the screens.
Mercury is highly toxic to humans through ingestion or inhalation of mercury dust. Mercury poisoning can also result from exposure to water-soluble forms of mercury (such as mercuric chloride or methylmercury), inhalation of mercury vapor, or eating seafood contaminated with mercury.
Displays from Laptops, PC Monitors and all sizes of Televisions can now be completely recycled without danger of causing harm to either life or the environment.
With capacity of around 20 Tonnes of displays per day, this is one of the most advanced installations anywhere in Europe and keeps Restructa firmly at the forefront of Display Recycling Technology.
