CRT TV RECYCLING
CRT Televisions are manufactured by various companies throughout the World. They are made up of various components including, cable, copper, plastic and glass.
There are two types of glass within a television/computer monitor, leaded ‘funnel’ glass and front ‘panel’ glass. These two types of glass are ‘joined’ together using a frit substance. Our process splits these types of glass by separating them along the frit line.
Once separated there is a metal shadow mask inside the glass which is removed to reveal the phosphor coating on the inside of the panel glass. This is then removed using a vacuum system through filters which are connected to our CRT splitting machine.
